📝 PSLE English Paper 1 (Writing)

Weightage reduced from 27.5% to 25% and total marks adjusted from 55 to 50.

🔹 Situational Writing

The biggest change? Students now need to come up with one original idea that won't be found in the visual stimulus.

Weightage drops slightly from 47.5% to 45%, with total marks reduced from 95 to 90.

🔸 Visual Text Comprehension

Students will be presented with 2 texts.

● Text 1 will include both visuals and text.

● Text 2 will be text-only.

🎤 PSLE English Paper 4 (Oral Communication)

Oral now carries more weight, from 15% to 20% of the total grade. The total score increases from 30 to 40 marks.

🔹 Reading Aloud

The Reading Aloud and Stimulus‐based Conversation (SBC) sections will no longer be thematically linked. It includes a preamble stating the purpose, audience and context of a given situation.
